Formula 5000 grew out of the American Formula A. It attracted most of the major race car manufacturers and a few new ones as it spread across Britain, Europe and Australasia. For a time it was the Australian National Formula 1 and the class raced in the Tasman Series. This book is a detailed history of the class, both in its original time and as a resurgent historic racing category.
