Description: This history of Riley cars begins with the personal memories of Richard Riley, son of one of the famous Brothers who ran the company. He takes the story through to the death of his father, Allan, at the age of 85 in 1963, the last surviving brother. In the meantime, Riley had been bought by Lord Nuffield in 1938, then passed through the BMC years before the name was dropped by British Leyland. He ends by expressing thehope that BMW might revive the Riley name. The rest of the book is a photo album of Rileys through the years from 1896. It is an excellent book and enthusiasts for British cars will want it for their book shelves.
