In August 1986 a group of eight people in five Mini Mokes drove over 10,000km from Melbourne to Cape York, at the very top of the Australian mainland, and return.
Over corrugated dirt roads and sandy tracks, through numerous river crossings, culminating in floating one of the Mokes across the Jardine River, the team proved the versatility of their diminutive vehicles.
