Description: The Mercury Comet started out as an up-market, s;ightly longer wheelbase, version of the Ford Falcon. it developed from there into the Cyclone GT with 428 cubic inches under the bonnet and more than respectable performance. The Comet name re-emerged on a Mercury version of the Ford Maverick before both Comet and Cyclone disappeared from the catalogues. This is the story of the two models from 1960 to 1975, as told in contemporary magazine aricles reproduced in this compilation.
