Description: This Haynes workshop manual covers the Holden Barina SB Series built from 1994 to 1997 and fitted with the following engines with either manual or automatic transmission:
1.2 L (1196 cc) "12NZ" & "C12NZ" SOHC 4 cylinder petrol
1.4 L (1389 cc) "C14NZ" & "C14SE" SOHC 4 cylinder petrol
1.6 L (1598 cc) "C16XE" DOHC 4 cylinder petrol
Transmissions described are:
F 10/4 WR, F13/4 WR 4-speed manual
F 10/5 WR, F 13/5 WR 5-speed manual
F 13/5 CR, F 15/5 CR clode-ratio 5-speed manual
AF 13 4-speed automatic
While exploded diagrams of the manual box and a cutaway drawing of the automatic box are provided, there is no description of anything beyond normal maintenance and removal and refitting of the transmissions. It is recommended that overhaul be entrusted to the dealer or a transmission specialist.
Unlike the factory manual, this has the advantage of being a single book. It is a comprehensive guide with illustrated step by step descriptions of repair and maintenance procedures based on actual vehicle stripdown and rebuild.
