Description: This compilation of magazine articles tells the whole story of the fascinating Facel Vega cars, including the FVS, Excellence, HK500, Facellia, F2, F2S, Facel II and Facel III models. The big Facels were supercars of the 1950s, with top speeds in excess of 200 km/h and drum brakes that faded out completely when stopping from any more than 150 km/h. Later models gained drum brakes and even bigger Chrysler V8s, while the little cars struggled with Facel`s own DOHC engine then, later, Volvo engines. It`s all here for any enthusiast for French cars or classic performance cars.
