Description: This compilation of magazine articles describes the development of the lusty De Tomaso Pantera from its introduction in 1970 to the ultimate 1995 twin-turbo model. Always powered by Ford`s small block V8, initially of 351 cubic inches, even when the only source of that size engine was Ford Australia, it moved on to the later 302 or 5-litre engine when the bigger unit was no longer available. Amazingly, in 1994 the new GT racing regulations were almost tailored to the Pantera and it became the racer of choice for teams that wanted to be competitive for less than the cost of a McLaren F1.
