Description: The Chevrolet Corvair is known as the car the Ralph Nader killed. This book points out that GM had already given up on the model for practical (read cost) reasons before Mr Nader`s book became a best seller. It tells the story of the Corvair from the first, basic models through the sporty coupes and turbocharged performance models to the final 1969 models that are much loved by collectors. It also tells of the compact trucks, Loadside and Rampside, the Corvan and the Greenbrier people carrier plus the Corvair powered Ultravan motor home. It is a good read and a fascinating story of an automotive blind alley.
