Description: This beautifully presented book is a comprehensive history of the notorious Paris-Madrid road race of 1903. It tells the story of the race, then describes the cars that competed and goes on to the Bugatti, Mathis and De Dietrich connections. The final section is about the De Dietrich company and the development that led to the Bugatti designed car that non-started in the Paris-Madrid. There is also a description of how the author built a model of the De Dietrich and Uwe and Monika Hucke created a full size replica of the car.

A soft cover book with a complete French translation of the text of the book shares the slip cover with the cloth covered hardback main volume.
