Description: Bill Pollack was one of the pioneers of sports car racing in the USA after World War II. Most famous for racing an Allard (with red wheels and whitewall tyres), Pollack raced everything from a 500 cc Formula 3 Cooper to Maseratis and Lister-Chevrolets. It is a good read and gives the inside story on sports car racing in the 1950s. There are contributions by Phil Hill, John Fitch and other names that became famous on the road circuits of America.
