Comments: Australian market model, basically a badge-engineered version of the contemporary Wolseley 1500 and Riley One-Point-Five. The Series I (1489cc) was introduced in 1958, followed by a Series II in 1959 with a revised styling and a longer tail. The Elite was aeffectively a third series with the enlarged 1622cc engine, introduced in April 1962. The Major was replaced by the Morris 1100.
