CHRYSLER ROYAL - AP1 - AP3 (1957-1964) Workshop Manuals

Vehicle Information:

Body Style: 4-door sedan, 4-door wagon (AP1 & 2), utility (AP2 & 3)
Additional Names: Plainsman (wagon), Wayfarer (ute)
Motors: 4105 cc 6-cylinder, 5130 cc V8 petrol.
Gear Box: 3-speed manual, 3-speed auto (V8 auto only)
Comments: Chassis and middle of body based largely on earlier Plymouth Cranbrook/Dodge Kingsway models with updated nose and tail including large tail fins. Bigger fins and flashier styling came with the AP2 in late 1958 for the 1959 model year. Neater style with lower fins, three lights stacked each side at the rear and four headlights stacked vertically were in 1960 facelift to create AP3 model, best of the bunch. 6-cylinder dropped late 1962. V8 discontinued May 1964.
