Publisher`s Notes:
A detailed, educational and fun how-to book on building an electric motorcycle, complete with hundreds of step-by-step pictures, charts and graphs for the latest and most efficient technologies. Build Your Own Electric Motorcycle is part of TAB`s Green Guru Guides, a new series offering consumers and hobbyists authoritative, practical and fun do-it-yourself green living information.
Global demand is forecast to advance 5.3% per year to nearly 36 million in 2007. Driven by increased income levels in emerging markets such as India, China and Southeast Asia demand for scooters, mopeds and light motorcycles will remain robust, providing continued growth.
Worldwide sales of electric vehicles are slated to increase at the rate of sixty percent per annum in the coming years. Government regulation (incentives & enforcement) will be as important to market expansion as economic and marketing factors for the EV. A 'buzz' about electric vehicles has already started, evidenced by print and electronic media. This suggests that sufficient interest has been created to permit commercialisation in this decade.
In this book, Carl Vogel captures the same style and appeal of Build Your Own Electric Vehicle for the motorcycle and scooter market. The book brings together all current data on the required materials, components and specifications. It also includes Vogel's own experience building an electric motorcycle. There are currently no in-depth books available that bring all these elements together in one place.
