Description: The Dominator was Norton`s answer to the Triumph Speed Twins. Introduced in 1948 as a 500cc machine, the Norton vertical twin grew to 825cc and was fitted to the famous Featherbed frame as well as appearing in AJS and Matchless models of the 1960s. "Domiracers" were more than competitive on the track and was the first pushrod engined motorcycle to lap the Isle of Man Mountain Circuit at more than 100 mph. The Norton P11 Desert Scrambler used a matchless derived frame to dominate US desert racing in the late 1960s. All this and more, including the behind the scenes infighting in the Norton empire over the years. It is a must read for any fan of Norton or of classic British motorcycles.
