Gregory's Automotive Repair Manuals
The aim of a Gregory’s repair manual is to help you get the best value from your vehicle. It does this in several ways:
• It can help you decide what work must be done, even if you decide to have it done by a repair shop or dealer workshop.
• It provides information and procedures for routine maintenance and servicing.
• It offers diagnostic and repair procedures to follow when trouble occurs.
A Gregory’s Service and Repair Manual will guide you, step by step, through most mechanical repair and maintenance procedures. It will include complete engine overhaul instructions, descriptions of brakes, suspension and steering systems and a set of wiring diagrams covering the most frequently required circuits for the range of vehicles concerned. See below for the list of contents of a popular Gregory’s manual.
Manuals for older cars will include overhaul instructions for the manual gearbox. For automatic transmissions the instructions are limited to regular maintenance and the removal and replacement of the transmission. It is recommended that either an exchange transmission be acquired or that the overhaul be entrusted to a specialised workshop.
The Pitstop Bookshop stocks Gregory’s manuals for a wide range of Australian market vehicles. Most manuals are produced for common models. If your car is a rare model, it is possible that there not will be a Gregory’s manual for that specific model. However, our friendly staff might be able to recommend other manuals that cover some part or parts of your machine.
